These Zep LP pressings from Pallas in Germany are beautiful, heavy and very, very quiet. I am pretty sure they are original pressings, by original I mean older - not firsts or anything super valuable but I am curious if there are any distinguishable markers on them so I can be assured they are old copies. I picked up a version 2 today. Correctly printed labels with LED ZEPPELIN now in top half, correct publishing credits and no Peter Grant credit. The results of these remastering jobs, including that of the muchpraised Beatles set, have become a bit predictablea brighter, fresher sound that’s slightly more expansive and has slightly improved dynamics.

First press due to AA lacquer and RG mastering (Rob Grennell, mastering engineer for Atlantic in the late 60s).

Led Zeppelin's 4th album is arguably their greatest, with seminal works including Black Dog, Rock And Roll, When The Levee Breaks and of course, Stairway To Heaven. Many of these used different masters and tend to sound shitty.
